Data Architect & Risk Governance Leader
Ramakanth Konatham known to colleagues and students as Kanth Kr
I've spent 19+ years building the data architecture and governance Fortune 500 enterprises rely on — and nearly a decade learning, in front of very unforgiving rooms, how to actually say it out loud. These days I split my time between enterprise data programs, the classroom, and the stage.
About
I build the data architecture and governance frameworks that regulated, Fortune 500 enterprises can't afford to get wrong — then I go teach a room full of MBA students why it matters.
Over 19+ years, I've led enterprise data transformation, Business Intelligence, and Risk & Controls Governance (SOX, ITGC) programs — strengthening internal controls and turning complex data into decisions leadership can trust. It's exacting work, and I've come to enjoy exactly that about it.
Outside the enterprise, I bring that same rigor to the classroom — teaching data, computer science, and career & management concepts as visiting faculty at IIM Raipur, IIM Visakhapatnam, and several other leading institutes. As a Distinguished Toastmaster and TEDx speaker, I've also spent a decade learning that communication is the multiplier that makes technical expertise actually land — a lesson I try to pass on in every session I teach.

Toastmasters has been the other constant alongside my IT career — almost ten years of speeches, evaluations, and contests that culminated in the milestones above. Along the way, four different employers have recognized the same habits that built that record: showing up, doing the unglamorous work, and following through.
